So, I’m writing this in a hotel room where I’ve been enjoying some year-end solitude for almost a week.
I’d planned to use my time alone to rest, finish the first workbook in the Clarity Library and daydream about 2022. But resting hasn’t really been happening and the workbook ain’t getting done this year despite what I had in mind.
That’s because…
I dropped my plans to follow my HIGHEST EXCITEMENT.
Years ago, my man Jeff would drive me nuts:
He’d answer “maybe” to what I thought were yes or no questions.
But the wiser I became, the more I considered “maybe” the wisest answer he could give.
Learning the hard way, I came to trust my heart smarts—my intuition—over my head smarts.
Always.
Often that means making crazy choices (to others) and dropping perfectly good plans. But why would I choose good when exciting presents itself with no harm to others?
Soon, I’ll unveil the project that excited me more than the workbook. Now, I’ll leave you with this thought for 2022 and beyond:
Enjoying your life is the ultimate service because it shows others what’s possible and puts good vibes into the world.
It means following your heart’s highest excitement over your head’s best plans, even if it seems nuts to onlookers.
This time last year, I was in an AirBnB in DC with Jeff. I had a week alone after he returned to Atlanta.
Though my head thought it wise to work on my book, I went with my heart and birthed Chard & Stripes, which has brought me much joy and satisfaction this year, and I pray has served you in some way.
I trust my book will steal my heart again later.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
